Delivering The News And Viewers

DELIVERING THE NEWS AND VIEWERS Hurricane Rita and an emergency plane landing in Los Angeles made for good viewing, as Fox NewsChannel’s coverage of these events helped the network edge ESPN as cable’s most-watched network Sept. 19-25. An extra NFL game on ESPN, made necessary because of Hurricane Katrina, helped push the network to No. 2, up from its 10th-place year-to-date position.

Of cable’s 40 most-watched shows, 25 were on Fox NewsChannel, four were on ESPN and three on CNN.
