International basketball governing body FIBA hired Matthew Osmon as commercial director. Osmon was director of business development for Redmandarin Sponsorship Consulting.

Madison Square Garden named Michael Chico executive vice president, MSG advertising sales. Chico was senior vice president of sales and marketing for NBC-owned television stations.

Disney Sports Attractions named Eddie Dickmyer assistant manager, golf operations; Diane Davis manager, golf retail and training; Charece Williams account development manager, new business development; David McHugh sales and promotion representative, new business development; Linda Campbell registration coordinator, sports program services; Ryan Morris associate sales manager, premium sales; Michael Cain sports manager, endurance team; Heather Scott sports manager, endurance team and Susan Saylee contract services associate, business affairs.

The Seattle Seahawks named Suzanne Lavender director of corporate communications. Originally hired in February 2004 as director of fan development, Lavender previously managed Olympic programs for Qwest Communications in Salt Lake City. Kevin Griffin was promoted to director of fan development. The team hired Matt Johnson as executive producer of the Seahawks Radio Network, Sean Vanos as fields assistant, Faruk Punjani as junior accountant and Sayreen Kara as payroll accountant.

Lacrosse
The Major League Lacrosse Denver expansion franchise named former MLL player Brian Reese general manager.

Marketing
Inside Sports Entertainment Group hired Ben Levine as director, new business development. Levine comes to Inside SEG from the New York Mets.

Revolution hired Susan Phillips as director of marketing services. Phillips was an account director at Upshot Marketing.

Daniel Sternfield was named an account executive at Edelman’s sports and sponsorship marketing group in Chicago. Sternfield was a staff writer for SportsBusiness Daily, sister publication of SportsBusiness Journal.

Media
College Sports Direct hired James Miller to head its public relations department. Miller was a public relations representative for Sunshine Network.

Fox Sports Net promoted Benjie Kaze to senior coordinating producer of original programming for Fox Sports Net Rocky Mountain.

Mike Storms was named executive producer for MRN Radio. Storms was sports director and anchor for WKMG-TV in Orlando.

ISP Sports promoted Kelli Hilliard to the newly created position of vice president and chief people officer.

Chris Stevens formed his own video/film production company, Mad Toy Box Films. Stevens was creative director for NASCAR Images.

Jeff Schwartz was named program director at WMVP-AM in Chicago. Schwartz was vice president/programming at WCKG-FM.

B2 Networks named Christopher Hunt the network’s first executive vice president and chief financial officer. Hunt is the founder of Knightsbridge Capital, a private investment firm in Denver.

Beckett Media promoted Beth Grimsley to director of Web commerce and named Elon Werner director of communications. Werner was president of EW Communications.

Stats LLC promoted Robert Schur to executive vice president of operations and Steve Byrd to executive vice president of sales and development.

International Speedway Corp. promoted Daryl Wolfe to vice president of sales and media and named Alana France director of international sales. France was director of sales at Daytona USA.

David Raith was named executive director of U.S. Figure Skating. Raith was director of events and broadcasting for USA Track and Field. U.S. Figure Skating also promoted Sharon Morgan to events and athlete resources manager and named Shannon Wynn corporate relations and marketing coordinator, Kevin Leonardo event coordinator, Mario Rede assistant controller, Mickey Brown Web/publications coordinator and Troy Schwindt director of publications and editor of Skating magazine.

The U.S. Olympic Committee named retired Lt. Gen. Wallace “Chip” Gregson chief operating officer. Gregson recently retired from the U.S. Marine Corps after 37 years of service.

The U.S. Bobsled and Skeleton Federation promoted Jim Shea Sr. to president. Shea replaces Robert Pokelwaldt.

Soccer
Greg Elliott, president and general manager of FC Dallas of MLS, resigned as head of the organization.
