The Army athletic department hired Danah Allen as assistant director of athletic communications. Allen was a sports information intern at Syracuse University.

Clarion University in Clarion, Pa., named Dave Katis athletic director. Katis was acting associate athletic director and director of major gifts and college development for the Clarion University Foundation.

Facilities
Disney Sports Attractions named Kristi Larson volunteer coordinator; Jill Ortega administrator, program services; April Burris manager, volunteer services; Michael Kristofka manager, programming support; and Rebecca Chapman manager, sports sponsorship.

Bradley
Palace Sports and Entertainment promoted Kelly Bradley to marketing manager.

Football
The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame named sportswriter and novelist Dan Jenkins NFF historian.

The NFL promoted Brian Rolapp to vice president of media strategy.

Herlan
The North American Football League hired Craig Herlan as director of media relations.

Crane
The ECHL named Tara Crane manager of marketing and licensing, Gord Broseker director of officiating, Bryan Lewis officiating consultant and Mark Faucette and Mark Rudolph supervisors of officials.

The Central Hockey League’s Prescott Valley, Ariz., expansion team hired Hayne Ellis as president and general manager. Ellis was director of special projects and media services for the Colorado Avalanche. Brendan McNicholas, Avalanche director of media services and Internet, will replace Ellis.

The Bakersfield (Calif.) Condors of the ECHL hired Devin Rossiter as director of media relations and broadcasting.

The Bridgeport (Conn.) Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League named Howard Saffan president.

Law
Underwood, Perkins & Ralston PC hired attorney and agent Evan Fogelman to lead its entertainment law and related group practice division.

Marketing

Boclair
Alday Communications hired Tammy Boclair as senior account executive. Boclair was assistant sports information director at Vanderbilt University.

The Bailey Lauerman marketing communications firm hired Erika Snoberger as a project manager with the company’s sports group. Snoberger was an assistant sports information director at the University of Georgia.

Walker
Leverage Sports Agency named Randy Walker vice president. Walker was with the U.S. Tennis Association’s marketing and communications division.

Media
CSTV named Jayne Wallace vice president of corporate communications. Wallace was national communications director of the American Federation of TV and Radio Artists.

FSN New England named Stuart Siden vice president/general sales manager.

In Demand Networks promoted Stacie Gray to senior vice president, marketing and executive creative director.

Motorsports
Steve Johnson was named president of Champ Car. Johnson was president and chief executive officer of the Sports Car Club of America. Dick Eidswick becomes CEO and chairman of Champ Car.

D.C. United hired Meghan Cameron as an inside sales representative.

Awards and Boards
The Mid-American Conference named John Peters (Northern Illinois) chairman of the MAC Council of Presidents and Sidney Ribeau (Bowling Green) to the NCAA Board of Directors. The MAC Executive Committee named Bubba Cunningham (Ball State) chairman of the directors of athletics, Marcy Weston (Central Michigan) chairwoman of the senior administrators and Lee Meserve (Bowling Green) chairman of the faculty athletic representatives.

Other
Jennifer Arnold left her position as director of publicity and broadcast operations for the Goodyear blimp fleet.

Scott Hallenbeck was promoted to executive director of USA Football.
