Jags hope marketing effort scores a 10. |
The 55-minute DVD highlights the team's top 10 moments and has a piece on the birth of the team, which will celebrate its 10th season this year. The DVD also discusses next year's Super Bowl in Jacksonville and how tickets will be allocated among season-ticket holders.
Last season six of the team's eight home dates were blacked out as the team's losing ways and the small market the club plays in took their toll on attendance.
Scott Loft, the team's executive director, said several new marketing initiatives were in the works but that it is too early to talk about them.
The club has 15,000 season-ticket holder accounts, accounting for 54,000 total tickets. The DVD was included in a brochure sent to those accounts, and each pamphlet was personalized with the holder's name.
Each of the DVDs cost $1.75, Loft said, meaning the club spent $26,250 on them. The top 10 plays and moments sections were put together by a local company, Digital Video Arts, with the rest of the content done in-house.
The DVD was produced by a Toronto company, Channel 1 Media.
