Ad rundown: NFL conference championship games

Listed in this chart are the companies that used this year’s AFC and NFC championship games as an advertising platform and had at least one minute and 30 seconds of total ad time between the two Jan. 18 games. CBS carried the AFC game between Indianapolis and New England, with a broadcast start time of 3 p.m. ET. Fox carried the NFC game between Carolina and Philadelphia, beginning at 6:45 p.m. ET.

The games, leading up to Sunday’s Super Bowl, ranked as the two highest-rated sports broadcasts of their week (see related chart).

The totals that appear here were compiled using the feeds of Charlotte affiliates WBTV (CBS) and WCCB (Fox). Only those ads that aired during the game broadcasts were tracked; pre- and postgame ads were not included. Some companies with strictly Charlotte-area affiliations have been excluded, and not every company advertised during both broadcasts.

Companies are ranked according to total ad time.
