ESPN.com finished 2003 in its usual spot in sports Web site traffic rankings: No. 1. According to Nielsen/NetRatings data, espn.com had 15.2 million unique visitors in December and averaged 15.7 million visitors over the three-month stretch of October to December to end the year. Finishing second for December traffic was the NFL Internet Network, which posted 10.6 million unique visitors and a three-month average of 9.9 million. Yahoo! Sports, which in October reached 10 million unique visitors for the first time, was third in December, with 8.4 million unique visitors.
