Sportvision to handle 3 new NASCAR internal sites

Sportvision has expanded its existing deal with NASCAR to include the production of three internal Web sites, according to Hank Adams, CEO of the sports technology company.

The expanded deal is expected to be announced this week. It puts Sportvision in charge of the design, development and maintenance of three password-protected sites for NASCAR officials to communicate with corporate partners and sponsors, its membership (including drivers, crews and track promoters), and the media.

Financial terms were not available.

The three new sites are powered by Sportvision's proprietary SportsEditor technology, a Web-enabling tool for sports properties. One benefit of the expanded partnership, for example, is a streamlined credentialing process for sponsors and NASCAR team members.

Sportvision already creates the technology for TrackPass with PitCommand on nascar.com and Race F/X on NASCAR telecasts.
