The Frederick (Md.) Keys of the Class A Carolina League named Nick Carita public relations assistant and Jennifer Smoral box office assistant.

The Modesto (Calif.) A's of the Class A California League promoted Greg Coleman to vice president of administration of the A's parent company,

Tim O'Toole resigned as general manager of the Oklahoma RedHawks of the Class AAA Pacific Coast League to become president and general manager of the Oklahoma State Fair and State Fair Park.

Patricia Skinner was promoted to marketing manager of the Yuba-Sutter Gold Sox of the California Coastal Collegiate League in Marysville, Calif.

Louie Eljaua was named a special assistant to the general manager for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was director of international scouting for the Boston Red Sox.

Rich Baseball Operations promoted Matt Drayer to general manager of the Class A NY-Penn League Jamestown (N.Y.) Jammers, replacing Eric Edelstein, who was reassigned in the organization.

Neal

Global Spectrum named Scott Neal marketing and sales manager for the American Royal Center and Kemper Arena in Kansas City. Neal comes from Global Spectrum's Fargodome in Fargo, N.D.

Palace Sports and Entertainment promoted Ron Melnyk to vice president, sponsorship marketing and Michael Garrett to director of business systems.

Seiden

Comcast-Spectacor named Stacey Seiden director of public relations for the Wachovia Center and Wachovia Spectrum in Philadelphia. Brian Cunningham and Meredith Leeson were named assistant public relations managers.

 


FOOTBALL

Joseph Barbarito was hired as director of ticket operations for the Macon (Ga.) Knights of Arena Football 2. He comes from minor league baseball's Toledo (Ohio) Mud Hens.

Greg Campbell was named vice president of operations and Lou Rosenberg vice president of sales and marketing for the AFL's Los Angeles Avengers.

Bill Rees was named director of player personnel for the San Francisco 49ers.

Beth Rhodes was named vice president of sales and marketing for the National Women's Football Association.


GOLF

Brown

The Salesmanship Club of Dallas hired Cynthia Harvey Brown as communications manager for the EDS Byron Nelson Championship, a PGA Tour event.

The Franklin American Mortgage Championship, an LPGA event, added five staff members: Julie Gallina as finance manager, James Caldwell as facilities operations manager, Bob Mannery as general operations manager, Diann Hass-miller as sponsor events manager and Jennifer Dorney as finance associate.

Ty Carr was named account executive for the ECHL Fresno (Calif.) Falcons.

Natasha Petrovsky was hired as senior account executive for SNL Communications based in Los Angeles.
