Green Bay places first

The Green Bay Packers have seen the most action on the secondary ticketing market during this year's NFL playoffs, according to data compiled last week by online secondary ticketing company StubHub.com.

As of late last week, Green Bay's games against Seattle and Philadelphia were listed No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, in dollar value of ticket transactions in the secondary market. The data from the StubHub.com report reflects primarily sales within the StubHub network of online media partners but also estimates sales through other secondary ticketing channels, such as eBay.

According to StubHub executives, in-house sales activity makes up about 75 percent of the total projected sales, with estimates of market activity through examining other companies' sales efforts filling the balance.

The lowest ranking for the first two weekends was Denver's game at Indianapolis, perhaps a positive sign that Colts fans are becoming less willing to part with their tickets, regardless of their value on the open market. In 2000, Colts President Bill Polian scolded fans for selling their tickets to a wild card playoff game against Tennessee.

Who’s got seconds?
Green Bay’s two playoff games top the list of 2003 NFL postseason games for estimated dollar volume of secondary ticket sales. Games are identified with their playoff round: wild card (w) or divisional (d).
Rank Game (playoff round)
1 Seattle at Green Bay (w)
2 Green Bay at Philadelphia (d)
3 Indianapolis at Kansas City (d)
4 Dallas at Carolina (w)
5 Tennessee at Baltimore (w)
6 Tennessee at New England (d)
7 Carolina at St. Louis (d)
8 Denver at Indianapolis (w)
