The Amarillo (Texas) Gorillas were awarded with the Central Hockey League's Most Improved Franchise Award.

The Philadelphia Phantoms and the Phantoms Wives Charity Foundation were chosen as this year's recipient of the National Adoption Center's Corporate Alison Award, which was created in 1992 to honor an individual or organization that has demonstrated advocacy for children, leadership in the community and extraordinary commitment to children growing up in families. The Phantoms Wives donated $50,000 to the National Adoption Center, a nonprofit in Philadelphia.
