Minnesota Wild President Tod Leiweke was named CEO of the Seattle Seahawks last week. Team President Bob Whitsitt will retain that title but focus solely on football operations.

Both will report directly to Seahawks owner Paul Allen.
Leiweke, 43, helped build one of the most successful organizations in sports with the Wild. The 3-year-old team has played to 100 percent capacity during each season at the Xcel Energy Center and has a season-ticket waiting list of 6,000 names.
Credited with being one of the most fan-friendly organizations in sports, it also proved to be among the most business savvy. Under Leiweke's leadership, the club launched several side businesses, operating a catering company and several other event facilities in St. Paul, Minn.
Leiweke, whose brother, Tim, is president of the Los Angeles Kings and Anschutz Entertainment Group, said he was not looking to leave the Wild but, after having a conversation with Allen, felt it was an opportunity he could not pass up.
The Wild has not named a replacement for Leiweke.
