Spotlight: Clear Channel promotes Baker

Clear Channel Entertainment promoted Alan Baker to general manager of its Charlotte motorsports division.

Baker
Baker has been a key player at Clear Channel Entertainment Motorsports since starting in sales for show car appearances nine years ago. Since then, he has risen through the ranks to corporate account manager, sales management and general manager overseeing sales and operations.

He will report to Fred Boucherle, senior vice president for Clear Channel Entertainment. Boucherle, who manages sporting events and tours for Clear Channel Entertainment, has the added responsibility for the Charlotte motorsports division.

Baker is a Charlotte native. He attended both UNC Charlotte and UNC Wilmington, studying psychology.

Baker and his wife, Laurie, have one son, Zachary, 10, and live in Concord, N.C. They enjoy traveling and sports.
