2002-03 bowl payouts

College football's Big Six conferences — those receiving automatic bids to the four Bowl Championship Series games — received the largest payouts from their teams playing in bowl games in the 2002 college football season. Payouts from each game are provided to the conferences, then redistributed to the member schools according to set formulas. Payouts to independent programs remain with those individual schools.

The totals provide for an estimated $13 million payout to each school competing in a BCS game, and each of those schools this season was from one of the Big Six conferences.
