United States Professional Volleyball and comic book publisher Marvel Enterprises joined forces on a specially produced action poster. The poster, "Marvels of the Volleyball World," will feature the Superheroes of Marvel and the stars of USPV together on the volleyball court. The poster will be available at USPV matches and events during the 2003 season.

Reda Sports Corp. formed the Reda Sports Express Delta Group, a new customer service division, as it begins its annual shipping of the Reda Sports Express Catalog.

Sam Houston Race Park in Houston will play host to Texas Champions Day on Nov. 16. The racetrack will also host the Texas Champions Day Equine Expo.

Software company AuctionHelper renewed its business relationship with the NFL. AuctionHelper software aided in the sale of more than 2,500 NFL memorabilia items on eBay during the 2001 football season for NFL and Players Inc. charities.

Seattle SuperSonics owner Howard Schultz will present the Professional Speakers Series beginning Nov. 21 at KeyArena. Schultz will join prominent business leaders in seven presentations during the 2002-03 NBA regular season targeting local businesses and their management-level employees.

The pending sale of substantially all of the operations and related assets of Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie, Texas, to Magna Entertainment Corp. was approved by the Texas Racing Commission.

The Florida Marlins announced the team will offer three new season-ticket packages and a season-ticket holder rewards program for the 2003 season. Full-season and partial-season ticket plans are now on sale. Average ticket prices will reflect a decrease for the 2003 season, the fourth time in the last five years that prices will not reflect any increase.

Los Angeles Mayor James Hahn signed a contract extension between the city and City of Los Angeles Triathlon producer Pacific Sports LLC through the year 2008.

The Seattle Sounders soccer club, in conjunction with First & Goal Inc., announced plans to play their 2003 season in Seahawks Stadium.

The Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences nominated Florida's Sunshine Network for three 2002 Suncoast Regional Emmy Awards: Outstanding Achievement-Sports Segment; Craft Achievement-Talent/Non-News; and Outstanding Achievement-Information Oriented Programs.

The International Tennis Hall of Fame has been named by the U.S. Tennis Association as a recipient of its USTA Outstanding Facility Award.
