Marketplace Roundup: Lexus Named Official Car Of Davis Cup

The Int'l Tennis Federation and Kosmos Tennis named car brand Lexus the official car of the Davis Cup. The event is scheduled for Nov. 18-24 in Madrid. Lexus will be responsible for the official transportation of the players and teams from the 18 competing nations (Davis Cup).

Wellington Regional Stadium Trust and Westpac announced a sponsorship deal for naming rights over Wellington's stadium "will come to an end at the end of the year." Westpac has sponsored the stadium since it opened in '00. Westpac Brand Manager Graham Wright said that the company is "moving away from sponsoring sport towards community sponsorship" (STUFF, 2/15).

World Rugby named Suntory Holdings the official soft drinks supplier for this year's Rugby World Cup. Suntory, which owns Japanese rugby club Suntory Sungoliath, will supply the teams with bottled water during the tournament (World Rugby).

The Ministry of Finance of China and the country's State Taxation Administration jointly announced that Beijing 2022 sponsors will be exempted of value added tax for some of their services (YUTANG SPORTS, 2/15).
