Media Notes: AFP Partners With Red Bull Media House For Content Distribution

On Tuesday, the AFP started distributing Red Bull Media House editorial content covering a range of sports internationally. Red Bull Media House will select editorial photos and short-form videos illustrating the best moments in all the sports it covers. The images will be available on the AFP content platform on a daily basis (AFP). 

The Bundesliga launched its own channel on Chinese mobile content platform Toutiao. The new channel "adds to the Bundesliga’s digital presence in China," where it already "boasts" 2.6 million followers on the Weibo social media platform. Toutiao will open the league "up to 700 million users" (SOCCEREX, 1/29).

RFRSH Entertainment agreed to a multi-year broadcast deal with Brazilian free-to-air TV network Globo for the BLAST Pro Series. The tournaments will be broadcast on TV through sports channel SporTV and online through e-SporTV and SporTV.com (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 1/29).

Sky Sports News is returning to U.S. TV this week for a transfer-deadline show on the NBC Sports Network. NBCSN will simulcast SSN’s deadline show in London from 2pm to 5pm EST on Thursday. It will then follow with three hours of its own coverage from its studio in Stamford, Connecticut, with host Rebecca Lowe and analysts Robbie Earle, Kyle Martino and Robbie Mustoe (AP, 1/28).

The Int'l Skating Union named Infront its media rights partner from '19-20 through the '22-23 season (Infront). 

The National Anti-Doping Agency of Germany (NADA) will partner with Sportradar as part of its intelligence and investigation work. NADA will include Sportradar in the investigation and determination of doping-relevant issues (Sportradar). 

23 Capital, which specializes in funding the sports, music and entertainment sectors, announced investment in commercial rights company SRM Sport & Entertainment (MUSIC WEEK, 1/29).
