Media Notes: F1 TV Pro To Be Released In Eight New Territories

Formula 1 said that live streaming service F1 TV Pro will be released in eight new territories in '19, starting with the first preseason test in Barcelona. Viewers in Cyprus, Denmark, Greece, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal and Sweden will be able to sign up for F1 TV Pro from Feb. 18, with more territories to be added through the year (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 1/27).

Sports Illustrated plans to show full Liverpool matches on its subscription streaming channel. The games will not be available live. SI TV will begin airing a new weekly three-hour programming block for Liverpool content. This will include full Liverpool matches across all leagues and tournaments the club participates in (DIGIDAY, 1/24).

Blackmagic Design announced League Championship side Swansea City developed its own streaming platform, SwansTV Live, with a live workflow featuring the Blackmagic URSA Broadcast and Smart Videohub 12G 40x40 router. Joining the League Championship this season "created a new opportunity" for the club, making it possible for it to stream its own content (BROADCASTING CABLE, 1/24).

Global cloud networking provider GTT Communications announced the expansion of its global media transport services for ATP Media to include distribution of select ATP 250 matches. The addition of ATP 250 tournaments expands GTT's distribution of the ATP Masters 1000 and 500 tournaments as well as the ATP Finals (GTT Communications).
