Marketplace Roundup: Valencia Basket Renews Deal With San Miguel

Spanish Basketball League (ACB) side Valencia renewed its partnership with brewery San Miguel for two years, through '20. The club and brand have been partners for 20 years. Under the renewal, the brand will extend its support to Valencia's women's basketball team for the first time. The economic terms of the deal were not made public (PALCO23, 1/25).

Adidas launched the Creators Tennis Open in India. Starting Sunday, the tournament will deliver a new concept enabling young players to participate and learn under tennis coach Aditya Sachdeva (adidas). 

South African athletics’ "most competitive track and field series," the Athletix Grand Prix Series, is now "in major doubt" following its title sponsor's withdrawal. According to the Sunday Times, Liquid Telecom reneged on two "lucrative" sponsorship deals worth more than 23M rand ($1.7M) (CITIZEN, 1/27).

Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven announced a sponsorship with retail online trading broker Investous. The int'l company will be the official online trading partner of PSV in a multi-year deal (PSV Eindhoven). 

ONE Championship partnered with Japanese martial arts organization Shooto. The two parties will work together to develop the martial arts industry in Japan (ONE Championship). 

Yorkshire cycling events company Struggle Events was named the official cycling tour guide of the 2019 UCI Road World Championships in Yorkshire. Harrogate-based Struggle Events will host corporate cycling events for UCI partners leading up to the race (Struggle Events).

Spanish second division side Sporting Gijón named CaixaBank an official sponsor and the club's financial partner through the end of the current season (CaixaBank).
