Tickets For Liverpool's EPL Title Celebration Going For £6,000

Tickets for Liverpool's potential Premier League title celebration on the final day of the season are being offered for a "staggering" £6,000 ($8,000) each on resale websites, according to Adam Shergold of the London DAILY MAIL. Liverpool is "dreaming" of lifting the league trophy for the first time in 29 years after it ends its season against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield on May 12. And supporters are "already cashing in" by offering tickets for the "potentially historic occasion for thousands of pounds a pop." Over 200 tickets for the game were available on Sunday as supporters "prepare to cash in." Matchday ticket prices for Liverpool home games range from £37-£59 ($48-$78) for adults. One resale website, livefootballtickets.com, which is based in Madrid, "has no fewer than 212 tickets on offer" for the Wolves match. The cheapest come in at £1,100 ($1,450) apiece with the asking price for restricted view seats around the £1,140 ($1,500) mark. A pair of tickets along the side in "lower tier block KK" are available for £5,950 ($7,850) each (DAILY MAIL, 1/27).
