Media Notes: Eurosport Adds Miller For Alpine World Ski Championship

Eurosport announced American Bode Miller will join its team for the FIS Alpine World Ski Championship in Sweden from Feb. 6-17. The Olympic Gold Medalist and four-time world champion worked with the broadcaster during the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics (Eurosport). 

Sportradar and Arkadium announced a multi-year partnership designed to revolutionize the way that fans interact with sports data online in the U.K. The partnership, which marries Sportradar's data with Arkadium's interactive AI product, InHabit, will deliver AI-powered visualizations of sports data to fans and bettors in the U.K. (Sportradar). 

New digital and social media agency On The Upside launched with the ATP Tour as a founding client. On The Upside Founder & MD Andreas Plastiras said that his new outfit "will play a key role in developing the content strategy across all 63 tournaments throughout the 2019 ATP Tour calendar." The start-up agency has been working with the ATP Tour for the past five months and was previously "brought in to assist the ATP" to optimize its social media in advance of and during the ATP Finals last year (SPORT INDUSTRY, 1/23).

The first German-speaking esports TV channel, eSports1, will provide coverage of ESL events as part of a two-year licensing deal with the tournament organizers. Sport1 began covering esports in '15 with written content on its website and "is now launching a dedicated esports pay-TV channel" called eSports1 (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 1/22).
