Turner Latin America Lands 'Las Bravas F.C.' In Deal With Mediapro

Turner Latin America is "kicking off a drama" about a female football team after striking a deal with Mediapro, according to Peter White of DEADLINE. The pay-TV broadcaster commissioned "Las Bravas F.C." from the Spanish production company, which recently produced "All or Nothing: Manchester City" for Amazon. Las Bravas F.C. was created by Enrique Pérez and written by José Javier Reguilón, Luis Gamboa and Paula Rendón. The show, which consists of eight 45-minute episodes, follows the Las Bravas team, which "must overcome difficulties to win the regional championship." It is the first show "to emerge from a five-year deal between the two companies" and comes on the eve of Natpe, which kicks off in Miami. Turner Latin America EVP & Chief Content Officer, General Entertainment Tomás Yankelevich said, "Las Bravas F.C. is the first of many projects we will develop along with Mediapro, as part of a strategic alliance established last year" (DEADLINE, 1/22).
