Event Notes: National Stadium Likely To Host ATP Finals If Singapore Wins Bid

The National Stadium will likely host the ATP Finals if Singapore is awarded the bid to host the season-ending men's tennis showpiece event from '21-25. Representatives from the ATP were given a tour of the 55,000-capacity stadium and the OCBC Arena by officials when they visited the country last week. Singapore is one of five cities "vying" to host the $8.5M ATP Finals beyond '20, together with Manchester, Tokyo, Turin and London (STRAITS TIMES, 1/19).

FIFA 19 is "gaining a new stop" along its Global Series tour, the newly-announced FUT Champions Cup March Singapore. This is the fourth of five FIFA 19 events this season hosted by independent esports organizer PGL, in partnership with eGG Network, an esports and gaming entertainment TV channel that broadcasts in eight countries across Southeast Asia. The event is a dual tournament featuring 64 top FIFA 19 players (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 1/18).
