TCL Returns As Official TV Sponsor Of Call Of Duty World League

TV maker TCL will "once again serve as the official TV of the Call of Duty World League (CWL)," according to Trent Murray of THE ESPORTS OBSERVER. The sponsorship deal will provide TCL with a presence during CWL broadcasts, and the brand will also sponsor the league’s preview show, “Hot Mic.” TCL will also have a presence at multiple live CWL events including the Call of Duty World Championship in August. The CWL is Activision Blizzard’s premier esports offering for Call of Duty. Unlike the Overwatch League, however, Activision Blizzard has "not yet implemented a franchise system for the CWL" (TEO, 1/8).

PERIPHERAL SPONSOR: TEO's Max Miceli reported esports team organization Method on Monday added gaming peripherals and component maker Corsair as the team's official provider for keyboards, mice, mousepads and headsets. Method has teams in Fortnite, Rocket League, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, Street Fighter, Injustice 2 and FIFA as well as being "best known for its success" in World of Warcraft (TEO, 1/8).
