Marketplace Roundup: Australian Open Renews With Barilla

Barilla is back to sponsor the Aussie grand slam.AUSTRALIAN OPEN

The Australian Open renewed its partnership with Italian pasta brand Barilla for this year's tournament. Roger Federer will return as Barilla’s "Masters of Pasta" ambassador. Barilla will be featured on signage at all match courts during the Open (B&T, 1/8).

Everton signed an agreement with payment provider moneycorp. The multi-year partnership will see the London-based company become the club's first int'l payments partner and the exclusive foreign currency provider for all relevant services relating to foreign exchange payments, including player transfer transactions. Moneycorp's presence at Everton will include placement on the back of Everton Ladies’ shirts (Everton).

Juventus is "reportedly planning to increase revenue even more by signing a shirt sleeve sponsorship deal." According to Calcio e Finanza and Tuttosport, the proposal "would make the most of Cristiano Ronaldo’s pulling power among sponsors." Such a deal could be worth up to €10M ($11.4M) (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 1/8).

Ascot Racecourse and British menswear brand T.M. Lewin collaborated to produce a collection in a multi-year deal brokered by IMG. The range will launch this spring (Ascot Racecourse).

BetVictor was named the title sponsor of this year's BetVictor Masters. The betting firm will continue its association with the Professional Darts Corporation by sponsoring the event scheduled for Feb. 1-3 (PDC).

The French Handball Federation partnered with Swedish brand Blåkläder for two years. The company, which specializes in clothing for industry, construction and transportation professionals, will have its logo featured on the right sleeve of the French national men’s, women’s and junior teams (SPORTBUZZ BUSINESS, 1/8).
