Top14 Averaging Record Attendance Through Mid-Season

The French National Rugby League (LNR) announced that at the halfway mark of the season, the Top14 has averaged 13,445 spectators per match, according to L’ÉQUIPE. The number is a 6% increase compared to the average attendance for the entire ’17-18 season. It is a record average audience for the first phase of the Top14 season. The LNR also announced the Boxing Day matches were the best-attended of the current season, with a total of 121,531 spectators (an average of 17,362 per match). The Stade Toulousain vs RC Toulonnais match on Dec. 30 was the best-attended match of the season so far with 32,794 fans showing up to see Stade Toulousain win 39-0 (L’ÉQUIPE, 1/3).
