The "salary packages" of Scottish Premiership side Rangers’ two football board exec directors increased by nearly £40,000 ($50,400) over a year in which the club saw "soaring losses" of £14.3M ($18M), according to Martin Williams of the EVENING TIMES. The 9% rise "comes while losses for the year ending June 30, 2018 were double that of the previous campaign." It comes on top of last year's salary lift of more than £60,000 in total while losses for that 12-month period "also doubled." Managing Dir Stewart Robertson was "the biggest beneficiary." His earnings came to a total of £311,000 ($392,000) in the last year, including a £52,000 ($65,500) bonus, meaning his pay package rose by £30,000 ($38,000). His salary package increased by £52,000 the previous year. Finance Dir Andrew Dickson’s total pay package was £183,000 ($230,000). This was made up of a £145,000 ($183,000) basic salary with a £22,000 ($28,000) bonus and £14,000 ($18,000) in pension contributions, with £2,000 ($2,500) "benefits in kind." The football board revealed for the first time that a further £289,000 ($364,000) "has been given to an unspecified number" of "key management personnel" in the last financial year. That includes £238,000 ($300,000) by way of salary and £51,000 ($64,000) in bonuses (EVENING TIMES, 1/2).
