The Coupe Omnisports disappeared after Team Sky, whom Thomas rides for, loaned it to sponsor Pinarello to display at The Cycle Show in Birmingham. Police are investigating the theft (BBC, 12/16). ... England rugby union player GEORGE KRUIS will launch a cannabis oil company on Tuesday after "using the products for his own injury rehab." Alongside Premiership side Saracens teammate DOM DAY, Kruis will sell a line of "fourfive cbd" cannabinoid-based capsules, balms and tinctures. The supplements were removed from the WADA Prohibited List on Jan. 1 (London DAILY MAIL, 12/15). ... Liverpool and Egypt forward MOHAMED SALAH was named the BBC's African Footballer of the Year for the second successive year. The 26-year-old becomes the first player to win in consecutive seasons since Nigerian midfielder JAY-JAY OKOCHA in '03 and '04 (DAILY MAIL, 12/14).
