CONMEBOL announced that from '19-22, some Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana games will air on Facebook. The social network will share the rights with Fox Sports. It is understood that fans will need to sign up for "Facebook Premium" or some type of subscription service to "have access to all Copa Libertadores matches," while one game per week will be available to all Facebook users. Fox Sports will carry all the matches on Tuesdays and Wednesday on its pay-TV channel, except in Brazil (T13, 12/14).
The NFL and Youku, Alibaba Group's video entertainment platform, announced a digital partnership in China to bring football programming to Chinese fans. The partnership will feature weekly programming on Youku's sports channel, including game highlights and behind-the-scenes stories from NFL games. Documentary content from NFL Films around events such as the NFL Draft will also be available (NFL).
UFC and BT Sport will continue their broadcast partnership into '19 and beyond. The channel will have exclusive rights to all live UFC main card events and over 100 hours of non-live programming as part of a multi-year agreement (UFC).
