EuroLeague Basketball Creates Chief Business Officers Board

EuroLeague Basketball announced the creation of the Chief Business Officers Board, which will lead the league's collective business strategy and seek to maximize revenue generation. The CBO Board will be formed by the chief business officers of Spanish club Baskonia, Bayern Munich, Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv, Greek side Panathinaikos and Lithuanian club Zalgiris Kaunas. Additionally, the clubs will be joined by external consultants Hasan Arat and G2 Strategic CEO Marshall Glickman as well as EuroLeague execs (EuroLeague).

BACK TO LONDON? PALCO23's Menchén & López reported EuroLeague execs recently traveled to the U.S. to "sound out potential investors about the creation of a franchise in London." EuroLeague CEO Jordi Bertomeu said, "It's something we're working on in the medium-term; it will not be this year or next year." The now-defunct London Towers competed in the EuroLeague for one season, in '01 (PALCO23, 12/5).
