JARRYD HAYNE is receiving legal advice from SALIM MEHAJER's former lawyer, RAMY QUTAMI, "in the wake of fresh and unsubstantiated claims of sexual assault" against the National Rugby League player. Qutami was already engaged to handle Hayne's defense of a civil lawsuit regarding a sexual assault allegation while playing in the NFL in the U.S. Hayne has "strongly denied" the U.S. allegations and is "vigorously defending the proceedings" (Sydney DAILY TELEGRAPH, 11/18). ... GEORGI PETKOV became the oldest goalkeeper to play for a European team in an int'l as Bulgaria tied Cyprus in a Nations League match. Petkov played the full 90 minutes at the age of 42 years, eight months and two days -- nine years after his most recent cap for the national side (BBC, 11/16).

STABLE CONDITION: A 17-year-old German Formula 3 driver suffered a fractured spine "after a terrifying crash during which her car became airborne and sailed like a missile" into the fences at China’s Macau Grand Prix. SOPHIA FLOERSCH's team, Van Amersfoort Racing, tweeted that she is in stable condition and conscious. Three others were also injured in the crash (WASHINGTON POST, 11/18).
