Marketplace Roundup: Salah's Tweet Sparks Rumors About Rift With EFA

Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and the Egyptian FA have been in a "prolonged dispute" over the 26-year-old's image rights. On Wednesday, Salah posted a black-and-white picture on his Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages of him in his Egypt kit with his head bowed down, "with fans speculating on each platform the meaning behind the image and whether it meant he was unhappy" to be reporting for int'l duty (LIVERPOOL ECHO, 11/14).

Barcelona and Rakbank launched a new Mastercard Platinum card in Dubai. RAKBarçaRewards offers cardholders options to redeem for Barcelona merchandise. Rakbank also partnered with various cafes and lounges in the UAE, where cardholders can watch Barcelona matches (Barcelona). 

The Int'l Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Women's Club World Championship 2019 partnered with Chinese watch brand Golgen. The brand becomes an official sponsor of the tournament to be held in Shaoxing, China, from Dec. 4-9 (YUTANG SPORTS, 11/14).

Game developer Ubisoft extended its sponsorship deal with peripheral manufacturer HyperX for the Rainbow Six Pro League through August, and expanded the scope of the previous deal's activation. HyperX will sponsor the Pro League online seasons, the Worldwide Finals and the game's next two major events -- Six Invitational 2019 and next year's Six Major (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 11/13).
