Goal Expands Presence In China With Sina Sports Partnership

Goal agreed to a two-year partnership with Sina Sports, the leading Chinese digital sports media platform, according to SOCCEREX. Editorial content from Goal will be published online by Sina Sports. Goal will "combine its market leading coverage of global football with dedicated coverage of the Chinese Super League." The content is "powered by Goal’s global editorial network and local editorial team in China." Goal already publishes in 19 languages across 39 local editions. As part of the deal, Goal will work with Sina to "develop and amplify Goal’s presence across Weibo," China’s leading social media platform. As part of Goal's regional focus on grassroots football, the publisher will become the official media partner for Sina's 5x5 Golden League futsal competition -- China's largest grassroots football competition (SOCCEREX, 11/9).
