Media Notes: Premier League Launches App For Chinese Fans

The Premier League launched a new official app designed exclusively for fans in China. Fans will get access to EPL news, interviews and notifications such as starting lineups, goal updates and links to Chinese broadcasters showing EPL matches. The app will also host the first authoritative Mandarin-language data hub for EPL stats. The app development was managed by Chinese agencies. Digital media agency Red Lantern oversaw the process and will manage ongoing content (Premier League).

Snack Media added Rugbypass.com and the RugbyPass Network to its list of rugby properties. RugbyPass comprises four different online rugby brands and a global team of original content producers developing new rugby shows, podcasts and editorial. With the addition of the four sites, RugbyPass.com, Rugby365.com, RugbyOnslaught.com and RugbyDump.com, Snack Media's total number of rugby monthly unique users surpassed the 3 million mark across nine separate sites (RugbyPass). 

FloSports announced a partnership with Infront to provide live and on-demand coverage of the '18-19 Italian Men's Superlega, '19 European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) European Beach Volleyball Championships and any World Tour 2-Star events held in Europe as well as the '19 men's and women's CEV European Championships semifinals and quarterfinals on FloVolleyball.tv in the U.S. (FloSports). 

Riot Games Brazil signed gaming analytics firm Esports One to "provide real-time stats and insights" to League of Legends broadcasts. Esports One was given access to Riot’s custom-built broadcaster console and implemented its proprietary OneConsole technology to provide broadcasters with analytics (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 11/6).
