Marketplace Roundup: La Liga Extends Deal With G2 Strategic

La Liga and G2 Strategic announced an extension of their consulting agreement, continuing a collaboration that began in Nov. '16. The new agreement substantially increases the scope of G2's work with La Liga, which includes the participation in a committee of club execs who will evaluate a range of innovations and new strategies designed to adapt ticketing policies to evolving demographic trends. In addition, G2 will conduct workshops and sales training for all La Liga clubs, addressing business planning and related topics (G2 Strategic).

La Liga announced a regional partnership with Russian betting firm Fonbet. The deal is Fonbet's first with a professional league (IUSPORT, 11/7).

Betway partnered with Uganda Premier League side Express, making it the club's main sponsor. The betting company will invest 400M Ugandan shillings ($106,900) into the club for the '18-19 season. The partnership includes shirt sponsorship and stadium naming rights, "packaged with a leveraging budget" as a development partner "for the team and management of Express FC" (PML DAILY, 11/6).

National Rugby League side Parramatta Eels announced EK Recruitment as a premier partner for the '19 season. The company signed as a chest plate sponsor, with branding to appear on the club's '19 jersey (Parramatta Eels).

Inter Milan partnered with telecom China Unicom's Qinghai Branch. China Unicom Qinghai will offer a "special mobile card" for Inter Milan fans. The card will include rights to sports services and "other sports benefits" in addition to telecom functions (YUTANG SPORTS, 11/7).

Ligue 1 side Lille partnered with moving company DMAX for the rest of the season. The company’s logo will be featured on the left sleeve of the club's jersey (Lille).
