Executive Transactions: Eurosport France Promotes Géraldine Pons To Sports Director

Eurosport France is reorganizing its exec structure following the departure of COO JÉRÔME PAPIN. Eurosport France Editor-in-Chief GÉRALDINE PONS, responsible for rugby and horse racing since ’17, was promoted to sports director. She will report to Discovery France SVP & General Dir JULIEN BERGEAUD and Eurosport Sports Content & Production SVP EMIR OSMANBEGOVIC (CB NEWS, 11/5). ... Gaming operator Olympic Entertainment Group named COREY PLUMMER its new CEO. Plummer has been a member of OEG’s supervisory board since May and has more than 20 years of int’l gaming experience. OEG also named OMER EFRAIM its chief technology officer (GAMING INTELLIGENCE, 11/6). ... Nike announced Global Jordan Brand VP & GM CARL GREBERT will become the company’s new VP & GM of Asia-Pacific and Latin America, effective Dec. 1. In the last year-and-a-half, Grebert has led Jordan’s global product engines, marketing, merchandising and category GM teams for the brand. ANN HEBERT, currently VP & GM of the APLA region, will become the new VP, global sales (Nike).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Ligue 1 side Guingamp fired Manager ANTOINE KOMBOUARÉ. He will be replaced by Academy Dir VINCENT RAUTUREAU and reserve Manager SYLVAIN DIDOT while the team searches for a new head coach (Guingamp). ... Serie A side Empoli named GIUSEPPE IACHINI its new coach on Tuesday, a day after dismissing AURELIO ANDREAZZOLI. Iachini has led four different clubs out of Serie B and into the top flight. Empoli, which is currently 18th in the league with six points, is the third Serie A club to change coaches this season (REUTERS, 11/6).
