Marketplace Roundup: Bayern Munich Launches Spanish-Language Online Shop

Bayern Munich launched its Spanish-language online shop as part of the club's strategy to better connect with fans in Latin America. Bayern Munich President of the Americas Rudolf Vidal said, "We have over 130 million followers in the Americas alone and over two thirds of them are native Spanish speakers." The club's online shop, which already exists in German and English, offers more than 1,200 products (Bayern Munich).

The Belgian Pro Basketball League (PBL) and PlaySight announced a partnership under which PlaySight's SmartCourt technology will be installed in each PBL team's arena. The technology will offer HD broadcast live streaming, video content for highlights and performance analysis tools. PlaySight technology is currently used by the NBA Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors (PlaySight).

Serie A side Napoli is reportedly looking to seal a new kit manufacturing deal with adidas. The club, which is currently serviced by Kappa, is said to be "prepared to cut short" its agreement with the Italian clothing brand in order to secure a switch to adidas, which currently has a deal with Juventus (SOCCEREX, 11/5).

La Liga side Valencia announced Capital.com as a new sponsor -- the club's first partner in the online investment sector -- through the end of the season. Capital.com combines trading, artificial intelligence and personalized advice to operate in more than 2,000 markets, including stocks, currencies and cryptocurrencies (Valencia). 

The Norwegian Professional League partnered with 21st Club to help support the development of the Norwegian academy system. The partnership allowed 21st Club to adapt Evolution, the platform that helps clubs manage their player costs, plan the player pipeline and analyze the impact of future scenarios (Norwegian Professional League). 

UFC fighter Anderson Silva and Brasileirao side Corinthians partnered to create an MMA gym at the club's home. The Brazilian will open the new facility for bodybuilding, gymnastics and combat spots in late November. It will be housed on the 10th floor of the West Sector at Corinthians Arena under Silva's Spider Fit brand, the first franchise of his new commercial project (SOCCEREX, 11/5).

Coatbridge-based steel firm Cairnhill's logo will be featured on Scottish Premiership Rugby side Melrose RFC's strips and the main stand at the club's Greenyards ground will be renamed the Cairnhill Steel Solutions Stand. Melrose President Douglas Hardie said, "The specialist steel fabricator and contractor based in Coatbridge will become a partner and sponsor for the 2019 Melrose Sevens on April 13th" (HERALD SCOTLAND, 11/5).

Danish CS:GO organization North added Red Bull as a sponsor for the rest of '18 and '19. No specific plans for activation were announced, and financial terms were not disclosed (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 11/5).
