Thousands of truckloads of concrete from Christchurch's Lancaster Park's demolished stands are "destined for the city's port." About 4,000 truck loads of material will be carried off the site during the year. Lyttelton Port CEO Peter Davie said that it has yet to be confirmed if the Christchurch City Council is going to take demolition material to the port, but "if it did happen it would be used to expand the reclamation area at Te Awaparahi Bay" (STUFF, 11/5).
