The England & Wales Cricket Board appointed IAN LOVETT as its new president, replacing GILES CLARKE. Lovett, a former deputy chair and former Middlesex County Cricket Club chair, can serve for a maximum of three years (SKY SPORTS, 11/2). ... GAFUR RAKHIMOV was elected president of the Int'l Boxing Association (AIBA) in Moscow on Saturday in a vote that could result in the AIBA's suspension and boxing losing its place at the Olympics. The Uzbekistan-born businessman beat Kazakhstan's SERIK KONAKBAYEV, the sole challenger, after receiving 86 of the 134 votes at the Royal Radisson Hotel (SUNDAY TIMES, 11/4).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Russian basketball club Lokomotiv Kuban and coach SASA OBRADOVIC parted ways, the team announced Sunday, while assistant coach VLADA JOVANOVIC is "expected to replace him in charge of the team's bench" (EURO HOOPS, 11/4).
