Leicester Players Attend Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha's Funeral

Premier League side Leicester City players attended the funeral for club Owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who was killed in a helicopter crash a week ago, at a Bangkok temple on Sunday, according to Juarawee Kittisilpa of REUTERS. The team was seen arriving at the temple "clad in black suits" to pay their respects to the King Power founder (REUTERS, 11/4). The London TELEGRAPH reported goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, who admitted he was "shaking during the warm-up" against Cardiff City on Saturday, was among the Leicester playing staff in attendance on Sunday. Club captain Wes Morgan, striker Jamie Vardy and Manager Claude Puel were also pictured as part of the Leicester delegation (TELEGRAPH, 11/4). The BBC reported during Saturday's pre-match warm-up, Leicester's players wore T-shirts bearing an image of Srivaddhanaprabha's face and the words, "The Boss." After the final whistle, the Leicester players and backroom team stood and applauded with their fans "long after" the game ended (BBC, 11/3).
