Executive Transactions: Nike CIO Jim Scholefield To Step Down

Nike CIO JIM SCHOLEFIELD is leaving the company to become pharmaceutical brand Merck's chief information & digital officer, effective Oct. 29. Nike plans to "look for a successor in the CIO role." Scholefield had been with Nike since '15 (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 10/18).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Tunisia national football team head coach FAOUZI BENZARTI was sacked "just four days after" he helped the side qualify for the 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations. The Tunisian Football Federation said that assistant coaches MOURAD OKBI and MAHER KANZARI will "take the charge of Tunisia's matches in November" (BBC, 10/20). ... League Two side Forest Green Rovers appointed Gloucestershire-based entrepreneur HENRY STAELENS as CEO. The 30-year-old will be the youngest CEO in the English Football League. Former CEO HELEN TAYLOR "is now responsible for the club's community charity" (BBC, 10/19).
