Franchise Notes: Bayern Munich Partners With University Of Denver

Bayern Munich partnered with the University of Denver to share coaching philosophy and expertise with young players looking to pursue a career in sports while completing higher education in the U.S. Bayern Munich Exec Board Member for Internationalization & Strategy Jörg Wacker said, "FC Bayern is committed to growing soccer at all levels in the U.S." The club and university will exchange coaching techniques and experiences, helping students in the football program who will have the opportunity to take part in a cultural exchange in Munich (Bayern Munich). 

EPL side West Ham is "under pressure" to take action after one of its youth coaches said that he went on a march organized by the Democratic Football Lads Alliance, a group "condemned by anti-racism campaigners." Mark Phillips, who coaches West Ham's U18 team, is "facing some awkward questions after his support for the DFLA was brought to the attention of Kick It Out" (London GUARDIAN, 10/16).
