Finance Notes: Documents Show AC Milan's Net Loss Widened To €126M

Serie A side AC Milan's net loss widened by €53M ($61.2M) in the '17-18 financial year to €126M ($145.5M), the group's financial statement reportedly showed. The document, which will be submitted to shareholders for approval on Oct. 25, showed the increase in costs to €354M ($408.8M) "outpaced that in revenues." AC Milan declined to comment on the document (REUTERS, 10/12).

FA Women's National League North side Doncaster Rovers Belles is in "detailed discussions" with Club Doncaster over a possible takeover, Chair Faye Lygo said. The Belles won the FA Women's Championship last season but dropped down a league to "ensure their continued viability." The Club Doncaster group contains League One club Doncaster Rovers, the town's rugby league side and "community projects." Lygo said, "We believe matters are moving forward positively" (BBC, 10/11).

Gaps in the accounts for Welsh second-tier side Bangor City "have been highlighted by financial auditors," documents showed. The club was refused a license by the FA of Wales to continue playing in the Welsh Premier League "because of financial issues." Issues raised by auditors in the '17 accounts include "missing key documentation" for the first three months of the year (BBC, 10/11).
