Executive Transactions: Mediapro Names Eva Abans Corporate CFO

Mediapro named EVA ABANS its corporate CFO. Abans, who has been a partner at Ernst & Young the last 11 years, replaces JONATHAN CUMMING (PALCO23, 10/8). ... The World Surf League appointed ERIK LOGAN as president of content, media and WSL Studios. He will be responsible for the delivery of all live and non-live content and media and will oversee the creation of WSL Studios. Logan, who is the current president of Oprah Winfrey Network, will start with the WSL in January (WSL). ... MOSHE ZUARES was elected as president of the Israel FA. He said that the development of football in Israel will be a "big challenge." Zuares previously served as chair of Israeli side Maccabi Petah Tikva (UEFA). ... GambleAware appointed London South Bank University professor MARCANTONIO SPADA and Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust CFO & Deputy CEO PAUL SIMPSON as trustees as the charitable body "moves to establish a board which is wholly independent of the gambling industry" (GAMING INTELLIGENCE, 10/8). ... Fanatics Brands President RAPHAEL PECK left the company to "pursue other business opportunities" and will be replaced by Fanatics Brands COO JOE BOZICH, according to sources cited by SBG Media (SBG ONLINE, 10/8).

COACHES/MANAGERS: League Two side Macclesfield Town Manager MARK YATES "left his role after the club's 12-match winless start to the season." Yates was appointed to the role in the summer but Macclesfield "has taken just four points from a possible 36 so far" (PA, 10/8). ... National Basketball League side Melbourne United extended coach DEAN VICKERMAN's contract for three years, through the end of the '21-22 season. Last season's NBL coach of the year led United to the championship with a 20-8 record (THE AGE, 10/7).
