Ronaldo's Family Speaks Out Regarding Rape Allegations

Cristiano Ronaldo's family members broke their silence over rape claims against the footballer "by showing their support for him on social media," according to Gerard Couzens of the London DAILY MAIL. His mother, Dolores, and sister Katia both posted pictures of Cristiano "in a superman cape with matching messages on Facebook and Instagram," vowing to seek "justice." It comes after Kathryn Mayorga accused Ronaldo of raping her in a Las Vegas hotel suite in '09. The cartoon-style picture of Ronaldo carried two hashtags in Portuguese. One translates as "#Ronaldo, we are with you to the end" and the other -- #Justicacr7 -- as "#Justice for CR7," referring to his initials and shirt number. Katia's message had nearly 15,000 likes in the first hour. Supporters came forward as it was revealed police are "investigating three more claims by women" against Ronaldo. One woman claimed she was raped after a party, one said that she was "hurt by Ronaldo" and another said that she signed a non-disclosure agreement with the footballer in '09. It is not clear if the last two allegations relate to sexual misconduct (DAILY MAIL, 10/8).
