Marketplace Roundup: NBA China Partners With X Financial

NBA China announced a multi-year deal making personal finance company X Financial its official marketing partner. Starting with the '18-19 NBA season, NBA China will integrate X Financial and its brands, including Xiaoying Wealth Management and Xiaoying Card Loan, into the NBA's marketing and media platforms. The company, which was an official marketing partner of NBA China Games 2018, will also bring NBA players to China to interact with fans (NBA).

Conor McGregor reportedly signed a one-year deal with Monster Energy worth "millions." Monster Energy spokesperson Hans Molenkamp said that the deal will put McGregor "in the same bracket" as Tiger Woods and Lewis Hamilton. McGregor said that he also signed a multi-year agreement with Reebok after his old deal expired. When asked if the deal was worth $5M, McGregor's manager, Audie Attar, said, "and then some" (SB NATION, 10/5).

The Football Foundation charity, in collaboration with the FA, will serve as the official lead sponsor of England's men's football team for the Nations League matches against Croatia and Spain. The Football Foundation's logo will be featured on the front of the team's training kits and will be displayed during pre-match press conferences during the int'l period (Football Foundation).

The Chinese FA and its national teams partnered with Chinese kitchen appliance manufacturer Vatti. After having partnered with the French national football team before the 2018 World Cup, the brand described this deal as a move toward "becoming a real Chinese brand" (YUTANG SPORTS, 10/8).

AC Milan partnered with Italian accessories brand Piquadro for the '18-19 season. Piquadro will be the club's official tech travel partner (AC Milan).
