Arsenal Announces £300M Kit Deal With Adidas Starting In '19

Arsenal announced a switch from Puma to adidas in a £300M ($392.3M) kit deal from '19, according to Kate McGreavy of the London DAILY MAIL. The deal with Puma was worth £30M ($39.2M) a year over five years. It runs out next year and Arsenal will double its money with adidas. The new arrangement will bring in £60M ($78.5M) a season over five years and will be the first time the club has had an adidas kit since '94. Arsenal's deal with adidas will be tied for the "second-biggest kit deal annually in the Premier League" along with Chelsea. ManU's £75M ($98M)-per-year contract with adidas is "the largest in the top flight" (DAILY MAIL, 10/8). In London, Sam Dean reported the announcement comes eight months after Arsenal boosted its spending power by around £20M ($26M) each year by agreeing to a new shirt sponsorship with Emirates. This year, the club has also agreed to a £30M ($39.2M) deal with Visit Rwanda, which became the club's first sleeve sponsor (TELEGRAPH, 10/8).
