Sport At The Service Of Humanity Launches Young Leaders Program

Sport at the Service of Humanity launched its Young Leaders Mentoring Program, which aims to prepare athletes and young leaders in sport to "Win in Life" and inspire their communities. The program, launched with the support of ISPS Handa, allows young leaders from South Sudan, Canada, Philippines and Israel to embark on a one-year journey under sport and business mentors. This year's participants will be:

  • Anjelina Nadai -- A 23-year-old runner from the Kakuma Refugee Camp in South Sudan. She was a member of the Refugee Olympic Team at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
  • Chantal Sathi -- A Canadian of Sri Lankan heritage. She is a kickboxer, personal trainer and community leader.
  • John Paul Masubay -- A 24-year-old football player, coach and youth leader from Tacloban, Philippines. 
  • Shahid Bishara -- A 15-year-old squash player who lives in an Arab town in Israel. She got involved in squash as part of a project that aimed to bridge gaps between Jewish and Arab cultures in Israel.

The four mentors will be: 

  • Jordan Olympic Committee President Prince Feisal Al Hussein
  • FIFA VP & CONCACAF President Victor Montagliani
  • LA84 Foundation CEO Renata Simril
  • JTA Founder & Chair Jon Tibbs (Sport at the Service of Humanity).
