League Notes: Review Finds Andreas Heraf 'Bullied' Football Ferns

New Zealand's women football players were "bullied and harassed" by former coach Andreas Heraf, an independent review found. Heraf resigned in July after 13 Football Ferns "refused to play for him." The review concluded that the 51-year-old "offended, humiliated or intimidated" some players and staff. New Zealand Football apologized to the players (BBC, 10/3).

The GAA "may trial a number of rule changes" in next year's Football League which "could include restricting consecutive hand passes to only three." A list of proposed rule changes will go before the GAA's management committee following a consultation process next month. Another suggested rule change would require the "majority of sideline kicks" to be played forward. There is also a proposal for the introduction of a "sin-bin" (BBC, 10/2).

The Int'l Cricket Council confirmed that it is investigating "serious allegations of corruption" in Sri Lankan cricket. The GM of the ICC's anti-corruption unit, Alex Marshall, said that the investigation into the matter is ongoing, adding that the governing body is "receiving the full support of the authorities which are currently placed in Sri Lanka Cricket" (ANI, 10/3).
