The 2019 World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy will begin in Abu Dhabi on April 5-6 following the agreement of a long-term deal with Yas Marina Circuit. The circuit will host the first competitive rallycross event ever held in the Middle East. The rallycross track will utilize part of the Formula 1 circuit, integrated into a new purpose-built layout (IMG).
Int'l sports and events tickets provider Sports Events 365 announced a sharp rise in customer demand for tickets to Serie A matches following Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Juventus. Italy is already the company's second-largest market, accounting for 17% of total sales. Sports Events 365 CEO Sefi Donner said, "Greater demand for Italian soccer matches in general and Juventus in particular will boost our business there by at least 25% in 2019" (Sports Events 365).
Glasgow will host a Star Sixes indoor football competition that will be contested from Jan. 4-6 by teams representing Scotland, England, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Wales and the Rest of the World. SSE Hydro will be the venue for the first regional edition of the tournament (Star Sixes).
The final event of the inaugural Clash Royale League season will take place in Tokyo on Dec. 1. The winning team from each regional league will compete at the Makuhari Messe event space for the title of CRL World Champion.
