NZ Warriors To Play In Wellington In '19 And '20

For the next two National Rugby League seasons, the New Zealand Warriors "will take a home game on the road" to Wellington, according to STUFF. The move to play a home game in the capital in the '19 and '20 seasons was confirmed on Tuesday. Warriors CEO Cameron George said that returning to Wellington is a "positive" for Warriors fans in the region but also provides an opportunity for "potential growth" for the club and the NRL. Taking one home game to Wellington each of the next two years is part of a partnership between the Warriors, Wellington City Council and Westpac Stadium. The date of the '19 Warriors match in Wellington "will be known in November, when the NRL draw is released" (STUFF, 10/2).
